AT LWCET, we believe these skills are so fundamental to children's learning that we have developed a Trust-wide framework of Foundational Skills to track, assess and scaffold children's mastery of these essential skills.

Our framework has been created in conjunction with leaders of different areas of the curriculum, across multiple schools and with other specialist educational partners.

This framework is informed by statutory curriculum guidance, non-statutory curriculum guidance, research evidence from within and beyond the education sector, learning science and inclusion frameworks, as well as action research wtihin our own classrooms.

At the request of other schools and educational professionals, we are working with other schools to share this framework and our learnings.
